Data Security

The security of your data is of paramount importance to us. Our IT infrastructure has been designed to be resilient and secure and utilises access controls, firewalls, data encryption and secure communication links.

We ensure that our staff are trained and fully understand the importance of protecting our clients' data. We have tight procedures in place to prevent unauthorised misuse of data, including building access controls, vetting of new staff and correct disposal of confidential waste.

Being regulated by the FSA, A J Bell Securities has access to and follows the latest industry guidelines and best practice on data security.

Business Continuity

The continued performance and availability of our business critical systems and software is key to our clients. All financial services firms face a number of threats to the availability of their systems, including natural disasters, power cuts and viruses. We have a robust disaster recovery plan in place to deal with any of these unforeseen incidents.

Key to our planning is our ability to replicate our live systems intra day on our off site disaster recovery site. An in-depth business analysis of our business recovery plan is undertaken annually to evaluate new and existing risks and ensure critical processes, procedures and personnel are in place. This includes our staff working at our disaster recovery site ensuring that all normal business activity can resume within two business days.
